The story

Winnie, a‑broke office worker, can talk to animals. With two pets Mochi and Ziggy, she helps Detective Victor solve a nearby murder. News spreads in the animal underworld, and she becomes an informal LAPD consultant. Her creepy boss Arthur dies in a hotel; shy coworker Sera is the only witness. Drawn into a sinister conspiracy, Winnie deals with talking cockroaches and vengeful Maeve amid mounting clues. Must she chase true justice, or merely the reward money?
