The second I gave birth to my daughter, my husband of five years kicked open the hospital door—holding hands with his widowed sister-in-law and a two-year-old boy.My mother-in-law sneered that my baby girl was "useless trash." My husband shamelessly told me that to carry on the Carter family name, he had to take his brother's widow as his second wife. He demanded I step down, accept the disgrace, and even tried to smother my newborn in her crib.I thought my life was over. But right then, I heard a cute, furious little baby voice inside my head:[Mama, wake up! This jerk has been sleeping with that lying witch for years! And that boy isn't even his kid—she got pregnant by a random bum to steal his fortune!][Don't cry, Mama! I'm not useless. I'm a reincarnated angel of fortune! Whoever tries to hurt us is about to face total doom!]Hearing my baby's thoughts, I woke up from the nightmare. Divorcing him was the easiest choice of my life. And just as my furious ex raised my baby above his head, ready to smash her to the floor—Sirens tore through the city. A massive military convoy smashed through the gates. The President of the United States and the Grand Oracle rushed into my room, shoving my ex to the ground and dropping to their knees before my tiny daughter:"We finally found you... Your Divine Highness, the Angel of our nation!"My ex and his family went dead pale. They thought they threw away a disposable woman and an unwanted girl. They had no idea they just threw away the only thing keeping them alive.Moving into the White House, exposing their dirty secrets, and watching them beg on their knees in the dirt... My real payback has just begun. Explore more series in Billionaire & CEO, Revenge & Comeback, Romance & Love.
