Ophelia is being pursued because of her Dawn Rune. Her bodyguard, Micah, can do much more than his job title suggests: he is a powerful mage hiding divine abilities. Protecting her also draws him towards questions about his own past.
The relationship has two sources of tension. There is the immediate danger around Ophelia, and there is the childhood bond behind the pair’s growing attachment. That makes this a useful starting point for viewers who want romance alongside magical threats and identity questions, rather than a story driven only by workplace or family status.
