Su Ning is a single mother, living with her daughter, Lu Man, and they rely on each other for companionship. She is strict and serious, traits that leave the deepest impression on her daughter. Until one day, Su Ning learns that she is in the late stages of cancer, with only a month left to live. She no longer pressures her daughter to study or measures success by academic achievements.
