Selene, a mortal slave, was abused by Caius, the god of war, and was brought back to the underworld by Hades, the king of Hades. They fell in love because of her ability to cure Hades's head disease. At the engagement party, the villain Freya framed and attempted to burn Selene. At the critical moment, Selene awakened and reincarnated as the creation goddess Gaia. She controlled the original power of the earth, punished Freya, reorganized the God of War's territory, and finally married Hades. Caius died in battle to save her after repenting.
