Raised by a she-wolf, Kael can communicate with the forest, read the memories of plants, command vines, see through birds' eyes, and feel the fury of wild animals. When mercenaries land on the island to slaughter the wolves, Kael leads every living thing in the forest and turns the invaders into fertilizer.
