A mysterious fire meteor streaks across the Pacific Ocean, and an island that cannot be steadily tracked by satellites suddenly appears. Jack, Maya and Marcus, members of a young film crew on the verge of disbandment, take the risky step of landing on the island to seize their last chance to turn their fortunes around. They inadvertently stumble into a deadly zone where time runs wild and prehistoric beasts run rampant. Here, dinosaurs, giant insects, titanoboa and mammoths coexist across eras. One year on the island may equal merely a single day in the outside world. The three form an alliance with a military search-and-rescue team, struggling to survive amid monster hunts, fallen comrades and human betrayal. Maya accidentally gains extraordinary powers, yet pays the price of physical mutation. When the group discovers the volcano core is the only portal out of this time rift, an ultimate race against death begins. Yet even if they manage to escape the island, not everyone will make it back alive…
